Episode 018–Confessions of a School Leader: I Feel Like I Have to Do Everything

The Blueprint Schools Podcast is back with a new series: Confessions of a School Leader. For the rest of the month, we'll be digging into some of the most common confessions we hear from school leaders we work with, including ones we've often felt ourselves.

This first episode of the series kicks off with the confession, "I Feel Like I Have to Do Everything." Founder Dana Kirchoff sits down with Jake Unke, our Team Consultant, and has a conversation about

  • why school leaders feel like they have to do it all,

  • times when they've felt the same way, and

  • how believing "you have to do it all" is actually dangerous to your school ministry.

Then we wrap up the conversation with what's helped to move away from this feeling, including some first steps for anyone who might be believing this fictional bit of school leader lore, too.

Like Jake says at the end of the episode, we'd love to hear from you! If you have any questions or comments about the new episode, feel free to drop Jake a line at jake.unke@blueprint-schools.com. He loves conversations like this.
